strawberry cream cheese

Yum!
Strawberry cream cheese is the best and so easy to make when it is strawberry season. I got the idea from Fox in the Pine.

This is what you need:

container or brick of cream cheese
hand full of strawberries (about 6-8)
fine sugar

Put the strawberries and sugar in a food processor or blender and wiz until the straweberries are almost a liquid.
Add to the softened cream cheese and mix in until fully incorporated.
Cut up the remaining strawberries in to 1/2 inch piece and mix in. You don't have to do this if you don't want to, but I like the chunkiness!
That's it! Enjoy on your favorite toast or bagel. It will keep for about a week.

  1. That sounds sooo good! The strawberry field down the hill from us has finally opened its doors to pickers, so I think it's time to make this with some freshly picked strawberries! Thanks for the recipe.
